If polls in the 2024 Presidential race indicate how Arizonans may vote down-ballot, Democrats could face an uphill battle in their bid for reelection. The RealClearPolitics Election 2024 average shows former President Donald Trump holds a +4.6 spread advantage over his political rival President Joe Biden. A CBS poll showed a similar divide with Trump leading by 5 points.
Though Arizonans appear divided, voters, by and large, could agree on one thing: Bidenomics is failing.
According to CBS news reporter Robert Costa,
"These poll numbers from CBS News are really intriguing. In Arizona we're looking at the issues of the economy and inflation driving the vote there. 82% of voters in Arizona, 78% say those issues are top of mind and that's what we're hearing from voters on the campaign trail.”
This could spell trouble for the far left Democratic candidate Ruben Gallego who is in a hotly contested election for Independent Kyrsten Sinema’s old seat. Gallego’s opponent, Trump endorsed Kari Lake, recently hammered Gallego for describing the border crisis as "not as important" in Arizona. But it’s Lake’s message on the economy that could resonate with Arizonans. Lake recently posted,
When James Carville coined the phrase, "It's the economy, stupid" back in 1992 Gallego and Lake must have been listening because Lake is doing everything she can to tie Gallego to Bidenomics while Gallego's defense of Democratic economic policies are lackluster at best:Inflation was 1.4% when Biden came into office. Not 9%, like he keeps insisting.

The smartest thing Biden could have done was inherit those Trump policies & do nothing.
Instead, @JoeBiden, with help from enablers like @RubenGallego, poured BILLIONS into far-left pet projects,… pic.twitter.com/PzOgEF92P6
However the November elections shake out, one thing is for certain, economics remains the most important issue to Americans across the board.I’m a dad and I’m running for Senate to give my kids (and yours!) the best future possible.

That means a world where our daughters have abortion rights, affordable housing, and an economy that works for them (and their parents too!)
